MEDICAL ANTHROPOLOGY: WHO AND WHAT TO TEACH?

Summary: Medical anthropology as an academic discipline, taught at universities in different countries, has existed for more than half a century, but in Russia it continues to remain outside of student audiences. This article discusses the question of who should teach it and what can serve as the content of the teaching process itself. The author briefly analyzes the foreign and domestic experience in teaching medical anthropology and shares his ideas on how and what can be done to further advance this discipline in the educational space of universities.
